I just finished hanging a dozen pieces of art at Bel Bacio coffee shop in San Jose’s Little Italy. There’s an entrance wall and a front room with three walls (and a window), so I chose a mix of paintings, illustration, and prints for each of the four walls. I matched nearby colors wherever possible and grouped them together in four themes:
- a “somewhat Italian” wall: prints of The Complete Tomato, Statement III (feat. Jeremy in Dainese motorcycle gear, an Italian brand) and A Seat At the Bar (the owner liked this one)
- a “pleasant outing” wall: a print of Edna and Barbara Have Coffee, the original painting Marcela Animates, and a print of Barbara Makes a Wish
- a “working man” wall: a print of Reino In Focus, the original painting Emilio Sets Type, and a print of Statement V (feat. Dave tying a bow tie)
- a “focus on photography” wall: a print of Statement VIII (feat. Jillian reviewing a shoot), the original painting Jillian Adjusts the Tone, and the original illustration Yin & Yang / Dodge & Burn

Amazing work!!!
