Help out the arts in San José and bring some art home! Arts organizations are doing what they can to help artists in this challenging time but they’re also feeling the squeeze too. These three are the ones I am active in – here’s ways to help them and also get some art from my gesture series. Since I painted those for the 50/50 show I thought I’d extend the “50” theme!

I have an art studio at the “underground” space and have had multiple mural opportunities thanks to them. Local Color does a lot to find opportunities for local artists and participate in the community.

This is the first public space I showed art in back in 2014, and I create a painting for their benefit auction every December. Works/San José is a community arts organization for local artists and poets, San José State University animation students, and traveling exhibitions.
Browse & buy works at Kaleid Gallery (virtually) Until we can visit the gallery again, go view the artist galleries on Facebook to get to know some of the exhibiting artists and browse available works for purchase.

I had my first solo show at Kaleid in 2015, and have had multiple show and mural opportunities through them. I miss the monthly Two Buck Tuesday to paint and chat with other artists. Kaleid Gallery hosts 60+ artists and represents the best art-browsing venue in San José.
Here are all fifty gestures to choose from for a print!
The original paintings are also available for any one marked (also for sale). The originals are 6″ x 6″ and mounted in a wood floating frame…normally $110 each, but donate to Works/San José for a $50 discount – details above.
